Theme: We are the World

St. Paul’s English school, J.P. Nagar held its 28th Annual Athletic Meet on 13th January 2015 at Kittur Rani Chennama Stadium, 3rd Block Jayanagar. Mr. Arun D’Souza, International Ekalavya Awarded, was the guest of honour for the sports meet.

“We are the world – we are the children”, was the theme of the day. This day was characterized by various colourful drills and displays in conformity with the theme. The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. G Thangadurai, Director –Presidency Group of Institutions and the Principals of our sister concerns, Ms. Bhuvaneshwari, Ms. Indira Kothnath, and Ms. Fathima.

The highlight of the day was the “Courtesy Walk” wherein 2,200 paulites participated to raise their voice against ‘Child Labour’. The chief guest Mr. Arun D’Souza in his address to the gathering, stressed the need for giving adequate importance to sports, develop a healthy body and mind and also praised the children for supporting a noble cause and voicing their opinion against child labour.

The occasion was also laced with a unique feature wherein besides students events there were events for teaching and non-teaching staff as well.

The overall championship was bagged by Ruby House.

The vote of thanks was proposed by the convener Ms. Suma J.

The key person behind the success of this spectacular Athletic Meet was none other than our beloved principal Ms. Susan Roy and Vice Principal Ms. Deepa Gopal whose constant support and guidance made the implementation of this event a grand success.
