Go Back

Theodor Seuss “Ted” Geisel was an American children’s author,  political cartoonist, illustrator, poet, animator, screenwriter, and filmmaker. He is known for writing and illustrating more than 60 childrens’ books, under the pen name Dr. Seuss.
On account of Dr. Suess’s birthday on 2nd March, PEY had week long celebrations from the third week of February.

The teachers introduced him to the children by showing a presentation and a video, followed by reading some of his famous books – Green Eggs and Ham, One Fish, Two Fish….., The Cat in the Hat, There is a Wocket in My Pocket, The Foot Book and other stories.
The teachers performed role plays, had a quiz, some enacted a story and all sections did craft activities based on the story book which they read to their children. Parents were not left behind and were encouraged to read book/s written by Dr Seuss, to their children.
On the day of the celebration the little ones dressed as their favourite characters from any story written by Dr. Seuss. Some children read their favourite stories to their friends. Overall all the children and teachers had a lot of fun! Special shout out to the parents who put in a lot of efforts to make this online celebration a successful one !!
