Inter Presidency MUN November 10th & 11, 2017
On November 10th and 11th 2017, Inter Presidency Model United Nations (MUN) was held at St. Paul’s English School.
The event was held for 2 days from 9 am to 4 pm.
The MUN committees were
SOCHUM – The Social Humanitarian and Cultural Committee
UNEP – The United Nations Environment Programme
The Security Council
St. Paul’s hosted the event, a new initiative was taken up. The function started with a formal lighting of the lamp by the Director of the Presidency Group of schools Dr. Thangadurai and Principal of the host school Ms. Susan Roy.
The dignitaries, Directors, Moderators and Delegates present were welcomed formally.
After a brief introduction of the guests, the event began with the Secretary General, Ms. Sanjuktha Gubbi declaring the MUN session open.
The delegates of the various committees were escorted by the volunteers to their respective venues.
The Directors along with assistants and moderators consolidated the scores sheets of Day 1 and Day 2 and decided the winners.
The winners were awarded on the basis of the following categories:
- Best Delegate
- Outstanding delegate
- Honourable Delegate
- Best Position Paper
Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.Chandrima Roy and the programme concluded with the UNITED NATIONS Anthem.
