The 59th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great vigor and grandeur for primary children on 20th November, 2015.
The programme began with Grade1 students reciting a Shloka. After the formal welcome address, Grade 2 children presented a patriotic song marking the significance of Kannada Rajyotsava. Further Grade 4 students mesmerized the audience by singing a rhythmic folk song “Gallu Galynutha”. The tiny tots of grade 2 and 3 showcased their talents by performing a fancy dress on the several Rulers and Leaders of Karnataka. The very enthusiastic Grade 5 students entertained the audience with a folk dance.
It was an educational journey for the students and an opportunity for the participants to showcase their talents .The programme concluded with vote of thanks and singing of the State song .
High School
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated on 6th November 2015 with much fervor and spirit. The programme began with an invocation song seeking the blessings of the Almighty. Chaitanya of Class IX Students welcomed the gathering, this was followed by the prayer song “Hacchevu Kannadatha Deepa’ . A presentation commemorating the glory of Karnataka state, its culture, writers, artists, food and scenic beauty was presented by the teachers which was visual treat for the students. Siri spoke on the importance of Kannada Rajyotsava. A Dance and a skit performed by students “Higaratti Namura Kannada” was an a good entertainment. Principal Ms. Susan Roy addressed the students and stressed on the importance of language. The programme by concluded with a vote of thanks by Vasupradha.
