St Paul’s English School conducted their virtual Investiture ceremony on 8th July 2020.The theme for the occasion was ‘ A Whole New World’. The guest of honour was Mr. Giri Balasubramaniam CEO Greycaps Private Ltd.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp seeking the blessings of the Almighty and invocation song rendered by the school choir. Ms Deepa Gopal Vice Principal welcomed the virtual gathering of the dignitaries, parents, teachers and students.

Comperer Sandra Rolly then shared the seven steps followed in the electoral process namely , setting of the framework, nominations, assessment, canvassing, mentoring, panel interview . This was followed by the badging ceremony where the senior Cabinet members Suman, Anisha, Arwa, Yasir and Misha were invested with their responsibilities.

Anisha – the head girl shared her thoughts where she clearly stated that she was extremely happy to be a part of St. Paul’s and promised to take the legacy of the school forward through her committed work. Arwa in her note of thanks expressed her gratitude to her Alma Mater for shaping her into the person she was and promised to fight hardships, overcome obstacles and work as a team to reach greater heights.

Principal Susan Roy administered the oath which was followed by the rendition of the school anthem. All the newly elected Cabinet members were introduced and the key functions of the student council shared.

Mr.Giri Balasubramaniam in his address congratulated the newly elected cabinet members, he emphasized on the fact that they are the leaders of a new normal generation, shared a n anecdote about Mahatma Gandhi and concluded with the message that the greatness of a leader is when his presence is felt by his absence.

Principal Susan Roy in her address to the students congratulated them, advised them to maintain the positive culture taught to them, divide the work to function smoothly and lead by example. The ceremony concluded with the song by Rajeed Sir and choir Together we will rise up dedicated to everyone making a positive contribution to fight covid 19 and the vote of thanks.
